Full job description

(one (1) position available - non unionized)

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Chief of staff plays a central role in coordinating the municipality’s strategic and operational activities. In addition to leading corporate communications and customer service functions, the person serves as a connection between senior management, municipal departments, the Town Council and external partners. Through political insight, sound judgment, and the ability to motivate teams, the person contributes to the achievement of organizational priorities and the continuous improvement of municipal services.

Requirements

Postsecondary education in public or business administration, marketing, communications, or an equivalent field; or a combination of other training in a related discipline and progressive experience in the public or private sector.
Professional experience in a relevant senior management role or in a similar role. All combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Excellent knowledge of municipal sector and public sector.
Strong skills in strategic thinking, analysis, project management, problem solving and decision making.
Excellent communication skills in French and in English both written and oral.
High level of professionalism, integrity and discretion.
Advance knowledge of technological tools (Office Suite, Sharepoint, Citywide among others).
Hold a valid driver's license.

Remuneration

This permanent full-time position (35 hours/week) has a salary range from $ 73 575 and $ 89 515 annually.
