At James Street Retirement Residence in Bracebridge, our Retirement Living Consultant plays an important role in connecting with seniors, families, referral partners, and the local community. This role supports the full sales journey from first inquiry through move-in, while helping to grow awareness of the residence and support occupancy growth.

You are a self-starter who takes initiative, follows through on commitments, and takes ownership of your results. You are energized by building relationships, generating leads, creating local community connections, and helping seniors and families make important life decisions with confidence.
You are organized, proactive, and comfortable balancing relationship building, community outreach, administration, tours, follow-up, and sales activity. You are also comfortable using technology, CRM tools, and digital communication to manage your pipeline and support strong customer experiences.
You bring a warm, professional, and resilient approach to your work, and you enjoy contributing to a positive team culture while supporting the success of the residence as a whole.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years of experience in sales, business development, customer relationship management, or a related field.
- Experience in retirement living, health care, hospitality, real estate, or another service-based industry is considered an asset.
- Strong relationship-based selling skills with the ability to guide seniors and families through an important decision-making process.
- Goal-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working toward occupancy, revenue, and conversion goals.
- Confident conducting personalized tours, managing inquiries, and following up consistently throughout the sales journey.
- Strong communication skills in person, by phone, and through email.
- Comfortable building local community relationships, referral partnerships, and outreach opportunities.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage a prospect pipeline, follow-up activities, CRM notes, and competing priorities.
- Proficient with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital communication tools.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle required.
- Local community knowledge of Bracebridge and the Muskoka area is considered an asset.
- Occasional evening and weekend availability may be required to support tours, events, and community outreach.
