Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Front Desk Coordinator to join our dental practice with 2+ year of experience. The ideal candidate MUST HAVE DENTAL EXPERIENCE, and will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, insurance calls, and administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with dental and medical office software, and a friendly demeanor to ensure a positive patient experience. Experience with electronic medical records and dental office operations is highly preferred. The Front Desk Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining efficient office operations and supporting the overall success of our practice.

Duties

Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment
Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and relay messages accurately
Verify patient information and update electronic medical records using systems such as Curve Dental
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments in accordance with provider availability
Collect patient payments, process insurance claims, and handle billing procedures
Maintain organized patient files and ensure confidentiality of medical information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence
Coordinate with dental staff to facilitate smooth daily operations
Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and professional in appearance

Experience

2+ years with previous experience as a front desk receptionist in a dental office is desirable
Familiarity with dental software such as Curve Dental is preferred
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and electronic dental records management
Proven ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently
Office experience demonstrating excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Prior administrative experience in a dental office settings is required
Exceptional communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34.0 – 36.0 per week
