Full job description

Part-Time | 15–20 Hours per Week | On-Site in Downtown Kamloops

SilverServers is looking for a reliable, highly organized person to assist with billing, office administration, and a variety of day-to-day tasks around our office and data centre facility.

This is a diverse, hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys keeping things organized, following up on details, and helping wherever needed. The role will initially provide approximately 15–20 hours per week. For someone with QuickBooks bookkeeping experience—or an interest in taking on more bookkeeping responsibilities—the position may grow to approximately 20–25 hours per week.

Key ResponsibilitiesBilling and Administration

Generate and review staff time logs for accuracy.
Monitor project work.
Prepare and send customer invoices.
Record and follow up on client payments.
Send reminders regarding overdue accounts.
Respond to billing questions and other customer emails.
Monitor expenses and help ensure suppliers are paid on time.
Track holidays, vacation time, sick days, and other staff absences.
Assist with scheduling and general administrative coordination.
Help ensure support emails and project follow-ups are handled promptly.
Assist with PST, GST, payroll tax, and other scheduled submissions.
Maintain accurate and well-organized electronic and paper records.

Bookkeeping

QuickBooks bookkeeping experience would be a strong asset. Depending on the successful candidate’s experience, additional responsibilities may include:

Entering and categorizing transactions.
Reconciling bank and credit-card accounts.
Maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
Preparing reports and information for management and the company accountant.
Assisting with month-end and year-end bookkeeping preparation.

General and Facility Support

Complete routine facility and systems checklists.
Assist with office, inventory, and storage-room organization.
Help maintain ecommerce products, orders, or related records.
Provide scheduling and administrative assistance to the CEO.
Coordinate supplies and assist with occasional errands or special projects.
Help maintain a clean workplace, including vacuuming, sweeping, light mopping, washroom checks, and handling garbage and recycling.

This is not strictly a desk position. The successful candidate should be comfortable moving between computer-based administrative work and practical tasks around the workplace.

Qualifications

Experience or education in office administration, bookkeeping, or a related role.
Experience with QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop is an asset.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Clear and professional written communication.
Confidence using email, spreadsheets, and general office software.
Ability to work independently and recognize what needs to be done.
Good judgment when handling customer and financial information.
Willingness to take on a varied range of responsibilities.
Dependable attendance and reliable follow-through.
