Position Summary
This position is responsible for all operational aspects of the branch excluding production (manufacturing and installation): sales, customer service, scheduling, purchasing, and administration in accordance with the company’s objectives.
General Manager ensures smooth everyday operations in a safe manner, achieving sales targets and growing a customer base within the Branch Territory. Responsibilities include management of the staff and coordination of workflow with other branches.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee day to day operations and make decisions with regards to price matching, job issues and customer service
- Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities
- Look for growth opportunities within the branch
- Establish and develop positive relationships with existing and prospective clients, demonstrating excellent customer service and setting an example for other staff
- Address customer satisfaction issues promptly
- Establish plans of actions to correct and address deficiencies and customer complaints
- Work collaboratively with production staff to meet customer needs
- Establish and enforce Company Quality Standards in customer service
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge
- Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with the company policies
- Contribute to team effort and complete other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
- Associated degree and equivalent industry experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum three years of experience in a leadership role
- Ability to meet sales targets
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
