Summary
Join our team as a Service Writer/Advisor in Kelowna. In this role, you will be the key point of contact for our customers, ensuring their boat service needs are met with professionalism and expertise. This position plays a vital role in maintaining our company's reputation for excellence in the marine industry.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assess their boat service needs with professionalism.
- Schedule service appointments and manage customer inquiries.
- Write detailed service reports and communicate effectively with technicians.
- Upsell additional services or products when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate cash handling and transaction records.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the service process.
- Collaborate with the sales and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Able to physically perform all necessary duties of the position.
- Team Player with strong customer relations and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A strong work ethic with a "can-do" attitude to ensure client expectations are met.
- Have prior marine or automotive mechanical basic knowledge.
- Have experience: writing detailed repair orders, scheduling repairs, customer communication & follow up. Parts searching, ordering and receiving an asset.
- Proven attention to detail, motivated and willing to learn, reliable, organized, punctual and ready to contribute to a positive working environment.
- Interest in boats and the lake lifestyle an asset.
- Possess adequate computer skills.
- Drivers License Required.
- Knowledge of boat systems or marine industry is a plus.
