Lake of the Woods District Hospital is dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services, including excellent patient care, to our community. As a Health Records Assistant, you are a key player on the team, and you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the department and maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient records.

You will be responsible for maintaining, updating, and organizing patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Qualifications
- Previous experience with clerical tasks (i.e. filing, scanning, data entry, etc.)
- Experience within a medical or hospital office is an asset
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent
- Must have Medical Terminology Certificate, or be willing to complete training
- Knowledge of hospital terminology, office procedures and filing
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent keyboarding skills; minimum 35 wpm
- Ability to use designated reference materials
- Ability to work under pressure with time constraints
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Microsoft 365 and LWDH software
- Ability to analyze information/problems and develop solutions and recommendations
- Physical ability to frequently walk up and down stairs, bend, lift, push and pull
- Reliable attendance record
