Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Carpenter Helper to assist skilled carpenters and construction teams on various projects. This entry-level role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry, working alongside experienced professionals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and basic understanding of carpentry and construction tools. This position involves supporting a variety of tasks including framing, finishing, and other building activities, contributing to the successful completion of residential, commercial, or restoration projects.

Responsibilities

Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to support project execution.
Support concrete forming, rebar installation, siding, roofing, and tile laying tasks as directed.
Help with cabinet installation, flooring installation, and drywall work.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform various carpentry tasks.
Assist with masonry work, woodworking, and general construction activities such as caulking, painting, and assembly.
Support plumbing and electrical installations under supervision.
Perform heavy lifting and material handling to ensure smooth workflow on-site.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines during daily operations.

Qualifications

Prior experience or familiarity with construction or carpentry is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction practices such as framing or drywall installation is advantageous.
Ability to read schematics or blueprints is a plus.
Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods; capable of working in various weather conditions.
Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality.
Previous handyman experience or skills in masonry, roofing, flooring installation, or electrical/plumbing work are beneficial but not mandatory.
