About Us
Sol Spa is a boutique wellness destination in downtown Kingston, known for creating unique and memorable experiences for our guests. As part of a special event on June 20th, we are seeking two talented Henna Artists to provide beautiful henna artwork and help create an engaging experience for attendees throughout the day.
Position Summary
We are looking for experienced Henna Artists who can confidently create both traditional and customized henna designs in a fast-paced event environment. The ideal candidate is artistic, personable, and comfortable working with a steady flow of guests while maintaining high-quality work and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply detailed and professional henna designs for event attendees.
- Create both pre-selected and customized designs based on guest preferences.
- Work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and artistic quality.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Explain the henna process and provide basic aftercare instructions when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout the event.
- Assist with setup and teardown of the henna station.
- Manage multiple guests efficiently during busy periods while ensuring a positive experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience applying henna professionally, at events, markets, festivals, or similar settings.
- Strong artistic ability and freehand drawing skills.
- Ability to create attractive designs quickly and consistently.
- Friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused personality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a busy event environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
Preferred Qualifications
- Portfolio, social media page, or examples of previous henna work.
- Experience working community events, weddings, festivals, fairs, or vendor markets.
- Knowledge of proper henna application and aftercare practices.
