Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our team and take on immediate client responsibility. This is not an entry-level position as we need someone who can work independently from day one, manage multiple client files, and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for assigned client portfolio
Record and categorize financial transactions accurately in QuickBooks
Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
Maintain general ledgers and prepare trial balances
Complete sales tax remittance forms, payroll remittances, and other government filings
Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
Communicate directly with clients regarding their financial questions and reporting needs
Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and best practices

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience
Requirement to be on-site in Kingston, Ontario
Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online (mandatory)
Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping, or equivalent professional training
Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting
Experience managing multiple client files simultaneously
Solid knowledge of Canadian tax requirements and remittance procedures
Excellent attention to detail with proven accuracy in financial record-keeping
Strong organizational and time management skills
Professional communication skills for client interaction

Preferred Qualifications

QuickBooks Online certification
Experience in a bookkeeping firm or multi-client environment
Knowledge of other accounting software platforms (Xero, Sage, etc.)
