The GOAT Tap and Eatery in LaSalle Ontario is seeking an experienced, passionate, and driven Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations of a high-volume, fast-paced hospitality venue. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional food quality, consistency, and team leadership.

The Executive Chef will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu execution, food quality, inventory management, labour control, staff development, and health & safety compliance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, calm under pressure, and committed to building a strong kitchen culture while maintaining excellent operational standards.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all daily kitchen operations.
Recruit, train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff.
Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control.
Manage food and labour costs to meet financial targets.
Oversee ordering, inventory, and supplier relationships.
Maintain proper food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
Develop efficient kitchen systems and standard operating procedures.
Work closely with management to execute seasonal features, special events, and menu updates.
Monitor equipment maintenance and kitchen organization.
Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

5+ years of culinary leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant.
Previous experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef, or Sous Chef ready to take the next step.
Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
Proven ability to control food cost, labour, and inventory.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
