Role: Marketing Account Manager

Position Summary

The Marketing Account Manager is a strategic partner and the primary bridge between our clients and the agency’s internal teams. This role is responsible for retaining and growing client accounts through high-level relationship management and proactive solution-oriented service. This position requires a balance of brand strategy, data fluency, and the ability to oversee complex digital infrastructure projects, including web ecosystem development.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Client Management

Relationship Growth: Retain and grow clients by maintaining high satisfaction levels and deep trust.
Planning & Strategy: Lead the development of marketing plans, strategies, and creative planning for clients.
New Business Development: Prepare and lead RFPs and high-impact client presentations.
Briefing & Execution: Coordinate with the DMG team for campaign briefing, execution, and follow-up.
Financial Management: Oversee budgets and billings for all assigned client accounts.

Digital & Web Project Leadership

Web Lifecycle Oversight: Manage end-to-end website builds, including requirements gathering, wireframing, development, and launch.
Technical Translation: Act as the primary liaison between the client and the digital/production teams to ensure technical deliverables meet business objectives.
Post-Launch Success: Oversee website maintenance, security protocols, and performance optimization after launch.
Creative Alignment: Ensure all digital assets and web creative direction remain consistent with the brand's identity.

Integrated Marketing & Operations

Campaign Management: Develop and coordinate integrated marketing campaigns and specialized projects.
Content & Communication: Write external communication documents, including copy and press releases, as needed.
Workflow Management: Traffic creative approvals between the client and internal agency teams.
Data & Analytics: Interpret and analyze qualitative and quantitative research to report on campaign outcomes and ROI.
Vendor Relations: Negotiate with suppliers for quotes and maintain good rapport with print and digital representatives.

Key Accountability Metrics

Client Retention: Positive relationships resulting in repeat business and long-term account health.
Operational Excellence: Maintaining office protocols and accurate scheduling to ensure superior service.
Brand Reputation: Upholding a prestigious public image for Douglas Marketing Group in all interactions.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

Education: University or College Degree.
Professional Background: 5+ years of Account Management experience, ideally within a fast-paced agency setting.
Digital Fluency: Proven experience managing complex website projects and digital transformations.
Marketing Knowledge: A deep, modern understanding of marketing communications and emerging media.

Skills

Leadership: Great leadership and project management abilities with a focus on cross-team collaboration.
Strategic Mindset: An analytical thinker who can work independently as well as part of a team.
Communication: Strong presentation and external communication skills.
Adaptability: A self-starter with a passion for technology and emerging creative trends.
