As an industrial maintenance helper, we are looking for an individual with a technical background and a hands-on approach to repairs in a variety of settings. The incumbent will have a passion to further develop his/her expertise by assisting in the day to day operation at the site within our maintenance team. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with drive and teamwork willing to work in a variety of industrial and climatic variations While assisting Electricians, mechanics, millwrights, pipefitter’s, fabricators, carpenters, boiler technicians and more.

Main Responsibilities

- Assist with updating and executing the preventive maintenance plan for all plant manufacturing equipment and pumping systems, and monitor the quality system in place;

- Respond to maintenance-related production problems and play an active role in resolving them with the team;

- Assist with the assembly, installation and maintenance of new equipment as required (progressive cavity pumps, fans, tanks, etc.);

- Keep up-to-date records of maintenance, repairs and parts used;

- Replace or refurbish components required for machine maintenance and/or order parts from suppliers, as required;

- Maintain a safe and clean work area;

- Participate, in collaboration with supervisors, in the weekly inventory of parts and equipment needed to keep the site running smoothly;

- Perform all other related tasks.

Job requirements:

-Mechanically inclined

-Enthusiastic about assisting in new trades work

-Not limited to specific trades.

- Some mechanical experience in an Industrial / Manufacturing environment or related field;

- An overall knowledge of basic hand tools & power tools:

- Basic knowledge of lockout principles;

- Hold a valid class 5 driver's license (automobiles);

- some Knowledge of welding techniques (an asset);

- Be able to use and work with Microsoft Office suite software (Excel, Teams, etc.);

- No legal impediments related to employment.

- Proactivity and shows initiative;

- Team spirit and collaboration;

- Focused on health, safety and quality of work;

- Ability to adapt and manage priorities;

- Observational and problem-solving skills;

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings;

- Thoroughness and attention to detail.

Conditions of use :

- Permanent, full-time position;
