Position Details
Position: School Age Educators & Site Supervisors
Program Type: Licensed School Age Programs
Location: Multiple Locations in London, ON
Start Date: August 24, 2026 – June 24, 2027
Compensation
Compensation is based on region, qualifications, and contract requirements.
- Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE): Up to $27.00/hour (including government wage enhancements)
- Non-Member Candidates: Up to $22.00/hour (including government wage enhancements)

Schedule
- Monday to Friday, following the school calendar. Varies by location
- Number of shifts per week is dependent upon and position candidate availability
- Morning shifts: 7:15 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
- Afternoon shifts: 2:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Additional full-day shifts may be available on PD Days and school breaks
Shift availability will depend on candidate availability and program needs.
Employees are required to:
- Support a family of schools within a reasonable geographic area
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, child-centered programs for children ages 4–12
- Provide safe, quality care and support to children and families
- Maintain supervision and ensure child safety at all times
- Follow YMCA policies, municipal regulations, and CCEYA requirements
- Foster inclusive, welcoming environments where every child feels they belong
- Demonstrate YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Inclusivity
Qualifications
Preferred Experience & Education
- Experience working with children ages 4–12 in employment, volunteer, or placement settings
- Current enrollment in, or completion of, Early Childhood Education or a related field
- RECE candidates must be registered (or in the process of registering) with the College of Early Childhood Educators and be in good standing
- Candidates from related disciplines must maintain membership with their professional associations where applicable
Required Certifications & Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification (or proof of scheduled training within 3 months of hire)
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 6 months)
- Up-to-date immunizations as required by Public Health, the Ministry of Education, and the YMCA
- Ability to perform light to medium physical activity, including lifting up to 20 kg (44 lbs.)
- Support up to six (6) Family of Schools
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
