Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our team in a busy restaurant environment. This role is essential for maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen, supporting food service operations, and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and an interest in food industry operations. Prior restaurant or food handling experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided to ensure compliance with food safety standards and kitchen procedures.

Responsibilities

Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
Assist with meal preparation and food handling as directed by kitchen staff
Support the kitchen team with basic food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients
Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen work area, including floors, counters, and storage spaces
Manage waste disposal and recycling processes according to health regulations
Follow all food safety guidelines and proper sanitation procedures at all times
Assist with setting up dining areas and clearing tables during busy service hours when needed

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food handling practices is advantageous
Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation procedures is a plus
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support other staff members
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting pots, pans, or boxes as needed
A positive attitude and eagerness to learn about the food industry and kitchen operations

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
