We are looking for a senior tax manager to support our tax team and bookkeepers through tax season

Key Responsibilities:
- Income Tax Return Review: Conduct high-level reviews of T1s, T3s, and unincorporated small business tax returns. Basic knowledge of T2 corporate returns is also required.
- Client Meetings: Meet with clients to review and discuss their income tax returns, ensuring they understand their tax situation and options.
- New Client Onboarding: Engage with potential clients, explaining our services and how we can meet their tax needs.
- Staff Support and Leadership: Oversee and support bookkeepers, providing final reviews of income tax returns, bookkeeping, and year-end statements. Answer staff questions and assist them in completing tasks as needed.
- Office Duties: Perform various office duties as required, ensuring the smooth operation of our income tax and bookkeeping services.
- Team Building and Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership skills by building a cohesive team, solving problems efficiently, and working well in a collaborative environment. Able to provide and receive constructive criticism.
- Transition Role: Work closely with the current Senior Tax Operations Manager to transition into the role, maintaining continuity and quality of service.

Qualifications:
- CPA: Considered an asset.
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in income tax preparation, review and bookkeeping experience required.
- Managerial Experience: Considered an asset.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and accounting software programs (Profile, Sage, QuickBooks, and others).
- Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Team Environment: Ability to work well in a team and foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Leadership: Proven leadership abilities, with a focus on mentoring and developing staff.
- Transportation: This is an in-person position; candidates must have a vehicle.
