Shanghai Construction Group Canada Corporation is a Construction Company for Building and Tunneling. Now we are hiring Construction Boom Truck Driver & Operator for Tunneling Division.
Work Location:
- Daily reporting location: Stony Plain Yard, Alberta
- Travel required to various project sites within the Edmonton region, including Edmonton, Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, Sherwood Park, Leduc, etc.
Job Responsibilities:
- Able to demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of Boom Truck/Dump Truck: driving and operations.
- Transport construction materials, trenchless equipment, pipes, tools, and supplies to and from project locations.
- Perform lifting, loading, unloading, and placement of materials in coordination with site supervision and ground crews.
- Read and follow lift plans, load charts, and site instructions to ensure safe lifting operations.
- Conduct daily pre-trip, post-trip, and equipment inspections, and report deficiencies immediately.
- Ensure loads are properly secured and comply with provincial transportation and site safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with spotters, riggers, laborers, surveyors, and supervision during lifting and material handling operations.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, inspection forms, and equipment records.
- Follow all company safety policies, site-specific procedures, and client safety requirements.
- Participate in toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and safety meetings.
- Assist with general yard logistic activities, maintenance and other duties assigned by supervision when equipment operation is not required.
- Maintain assigned equipment in clean and serviceable condition.
Qualifications:
- Require Valid Class 1 driver’s license
- Boom Truck Operator experience (min. 3 years preferred)
- Require Journeyman Boom Truck or Mobile Crane ticket
- Require Clean drivers abstract
- Require CSTS certificate
- Must be able to pass pre-employment medical and drug screening
- Safety tickets are an asset (examples: Fall Protection, Confined Space and H2S)
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Potential Overtime
