Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen during service hours. This role offers an opportunity to showcase culinary skills, lead by example, and contribute to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Candidates should have a passion for food preparation, food safety, and delivering excellent food service.

Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
Supervise and assist line cooks and kitchen staff during shifts to ensure efficiency and quality
Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards
Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for ingredients or supplies
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations
Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant standards
Collaborate with management on menu updates, special events, and operational improvements

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or food industry setting
Strong background in meal preparation, food safety, and kitchen operations
Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a culinary environment is preferred
Knowledge of serving standards, food handling procedures, and restaurant best practices
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
Familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment is essential

This position is ideal for a motivated culinary professional eager to lead a team while delivering exceptional dining experiences. We value candidates with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for the food industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
