Full job description

Billing/Accounting Clerk

We are the Kennedy Group of Companies consisting of petroleum products wholesalers for Petro-Canada and fuel transportation services providers serving customers and locations throughout Manitoba under our affiliated names Kennedy Energy, Janico Investments Ltd, and Northway Bulk Fuel. We are currently seeking a highly dedicated and "can-do" individual to join the team at our head office Winnipeg

As an integral member of our administrative team, you will be a well-organized and highly efficient individual with excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will perform billing and related accounting and administrative duties

Prepare, review, and issue accurate customer invoices in a timely manner per accounting policies and procedures into the accounting system
Check, reconcile, and post daily billing batches
Scan tickets and supporting documents for e-invoicing and email copies to customers when requested.
Maintain current monthly truck report files, and related billing documentation.
Process requests for new and replacement fuel cards and maintain fuel card account information.
Review monthly replacement fuel cards to confirm credit standing and card usage requirements
Support customers with fuel card issues or related matters, providing timely assistance and resolving inquiries as required.
Check, monitor, and request/order office supplies to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained.
Assist with inventory reconciliation as requested, ensuring records are accurate and supporting documentation is maintained.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships and promptly address any customer billing inquiries or account issues.
Produce and prepare billing, receivables, and other reports as required for management.
Always maintain security and confidentiality of all company information.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

2+ years’ experience in a similar billing, accounting or administrative role.
Full-cycle accounting experience is an asset.
Completion of an accounting diploma or certificate advantageous.
Established skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Accounting software knowledge in QuickBooks is an asset.
Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy is essential.
Must be well-organized, able to multi-task and be flexible to take on new tasks.
Able to work with minimal supervision and be a good team member.
Background or interest in the petroleum products or transportation industry an asset
