Providence Health Care is recruiting experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses to join the OR team at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver, BC.

What You Bring:
Education:
- You must be a registered nurse in Canada in good standing and be eligible for registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Completion of a post graduate operating room course, or two years’ recent experience in an equivalent setting
Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated competence in performing CPR procedures.
- Experience in teamwork, decision-making and conflict resolution
- Demonstrated a teaching aptitude
- Proficient in clinical leadership.
- A strong desire to expand your professional skills and a commitment to lifelong learning in the nursing field.

Your Day to Day:
- Conduct thorough patient/resident assessments through chart reviews, observations, interviews, and collaboration with peers.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans based on evidence-based practices, prioritizing patient/resident needs.
- Adhere to established policies, procedures, and PHC standards while providing high-quality nursing care.
- Monitor patient/resident progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust care plans as needed for optimal results.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, care plans, patient/resident status, and discharge plans using manual and computerized systems.
- Identify and address patient/resident and family learning needs, providing education and referrals as necessary.
- Provide direction to staff, promote teamwork, and share clinical knowledge to enhance patient care.
- Support nursing research initiatives and contribute to the improvement of patient/resident care policies and procedures.
- Advocate for patients/residents' rights and dignity, facilitate discharge plans, and collaborate with families and community resources.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the healthcare team.
