Early Childhood Educator
At Maple Creek Childcare Coop, our priority is creating a safe, welcoming environment where children feel respected, supported, and encouraged to thrive. We are looking for energetic, dependable, and compassionate individuals to join our team and help create meaningful experiences for the children in our care.
MCCC is preparing its new centre for an anticipated Fall 2026 opening. Successful candidates may have opportunities to participate in planning, preparation, and centre set-up before opening.
Responsibilities
· Curriculum Planning: Plan and deliver play-based learning experiences using the Saskatchewan Play and Exploration Early Learning Guide framework.
· Active Supervision: Ensure the physical, psychological, and emotional safety of children aged [e.g., 6 weeks to 6 years] always.
· Inclusion & Culture: Maintain an inclusive environment that adapts to all ability levels and respects diverse cultural backgrounds.
· Observation & Documentation: Observe and document children’s learning progressions, sharing daily insights with families.
· Health & Safety: Maintain sanitary standards for classroom spaces, toys, and meal areas according to provincial Public Health guidelines.
Qualifications and Requirements
· Certification: Valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level I, II, or III certification in Saskatchewan, or currently in the process of obtaining certification.
· Background Clearance: Satisfactory Criminal Record Check including a Vulnerable Sector Search.
· Medical Training: Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C (Child/Infant) certification.
· Experience: Preference may be given to applicants with experience working in a licensed daycare or early learning centre.
