Job Overview

RDQ Engineering Inc,. is growing, and we are seeking full-time Project Coordinators to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with the firm’s Principal and Senior Engineers on a variety of facility condition assessments, reserve fund studies, performance audits, and building restoration projects involving both existing buildings and new construction.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and career-driven individual looking to gain hands-on experience within an engineering consulting and construction site environment. The position requires strong organizational, technical, and communication skills, along with a solid understanding of construction processes and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Assist Senior Engineers in conducting property condition assessments, reserve fund studies, performance audits, and building investigations.
Prepare and maintain project documentation including condition assessment reports, site review reports, physical inspection reports, meeting minutes, project updates, and related technical documentation.
Conduct site visits and field reviews to evaluate contractor performance and ensure project quality standards and deliverables are maintained.
Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, technical specifications, and related contract documents for compliance with project requirements.
Assist in the preparation of design drawings, scopes of work, tender documents, and technical specifications for repair and rehabilitation projects.
Support quality control reviews and ensure compliance with approved design drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
Coordinate communication between contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to facilitate smooth project execution.
Participate in project meetings, prepare presentations, and assist with client communications.
Liaison with project stakeholders to help ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Maintain organized and accessible records of all project-related documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Science, or Architectural Science.
Master’s Degree is considered an asset.
Minimum 2-3 years of related experience within an engineering consulting environment.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
Good Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and/or National Building Code of Canada as well as common practice applicable design standards.
Valid Ontario G Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle.
Ability to work at heights and access ladders, scaffolding, boom lifts, and swing stages.

Position Details

Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Schedule: Monday to Friday.
Work Location: In Person.
Salary: Competitive commensurate with experience.
Compensation Package: Health, dental, and insurance coverage.
Additional Compensation: Performance Bonus Pay.
Expected Start Date: Mid-June / Early-July 2026

Pay: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
