Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage our company’s financial records. The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting software and possess strong skills in bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial analysis. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial data, supporting budgeting processes, and ensuring smooth accounts payable and receivable operations.

Key Responsibilities

Full Cycle Accounting.
Experience using accounting software Sage 50.
Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
Perform General Journal Entries and Bank Reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements, credit cards and vender invoices monthly.
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or issues requiring resolution.
Complete Payroll, HST, WSIB processing and related reporting requirements.
Manage collections by conducting professional Collection Calls and emails to accounts with overdue balances.
Prepare financial reports for Month End and Year End prep.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
Must possess a strong understanding of Microsoft Office, specifically demonstrating intermediate to advanced skills in both Word and Excel.

Core Competencies

Individuals must demonstrate absolute Punctuality and Reliability with strict adherence to daily schedules and morning start times.

You need excellent communication skills to maintain a professional, firm, and polite demeanour when handling difficult collection calls.

Strong Time Management skills are essential to prioritize tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.

The role requires thorough attention to detail and a proven ability to catch reporting discrepancies early.

Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles is highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to our financial operations while working within a collaborative team environment.

Pay: $24.00-$29.00 per hour
