As a Senior Group Underwriter , you will work within a team of skilled and energetic employees like yourself, you will collaborate with the Group Insurance Pricing team to ensure that Medavie Blue Cross achieves its financial objectives for group health, life, and disability insurance sectors.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Establish pricing during the request‑for‑proposal process
- Establish renewal pricing
- Establish pricing for benefit modifications
- Draft financial agreements and prepare related financial reports
- Negotiate files with group insurance advisors
- When required, meet with market intermediaries or clients alongside the group insurance advisor to explain and negotiate files
- Participate in the ongoing training of junior and intermediate underwriters
- Provide technical support to other departments of the company
Perform any other related tasks or general duties required by the role

Salary Range: $91,831 to $101,014 (CAD)

The Base Pay range may vary depending on the successful candidate or other relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and education/training.
