Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a hospital or acute care setting.

Duties

Review and interpret medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
Dispense medications accurately while providing clear instructions to patients and healthcare providers.
Monitor patient medication therapy and provide recommendations for adjustments as necessary.
Counsel patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions.
Stay updated on medical terminology, pharmaceutical advancements, and best practices in medication management.
Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to the development of pharmacy protocols.

Qualifications

Active pharmacist license in Ontario
Experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred, particularly with pediatrics.
Strong knowledge of medication administration and medical terminology.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and ensuring safety in medication management.

Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
