Full job description

CNC Machinist / CNC Operator

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented CNC Machinist / Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate has experience setting up and operating CNC milling and/or vertical turning center machines and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC mills or vertical turning center
Load raw materials and monitor machining processes
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
Perform in-process and final quality inspections using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Make minor offsets and adjustments to ensure parts meet specifications
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed

Requirements

Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or CNC Operator
Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
Familiarity with G-code and CNC machine controls
Experience with precision measuring tools
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Assets (Nice to Have)

Experience with Heidenhein/ Fanuc controls
Experience with Mastercam
Setup experience (not just operation)
Knowledge of machining metals such as steel, aluminum, or stainless
Forklift or crane operation experience

Work Conditions

Full-time position
Shop-floor environment
May include shift work or overtime depending on production needs

Compensation

Competitive hourly wage based on experience
