Overview
B2B Sales Closer — Commercial LED Lighting (GTA)
We're an established commercial LED lighting company doing millions in annual revenue at margins most companies dream about, and we're growing fast. Our field sales and inbound engines generate more qualified leads than we can currently close — that's the problem you're being hired to fix.
We don't need a lead generator. We need a closer: someone who can take a facilities manager from "interested" to "signed" and who can open doors we haven't walked through yet — property management portfolios, franchise groups, school boards, industrial operators, and eventually national accounts.
We're keeping the company name confidential at the posting stage for competitive reasons — you'll know exactly who we are on the first call.
If you've carried a quota, hit it, and can tell us the exact numbers — keep reading.
What you'll actually do
- Own the full sales cycle from qualified lead to signed contract on mid-market and enterprise commercial lighting retrofits ($15K–$100K+ deals)
- Inherit and work an existing pipeline of warm leads from our outbound campaigns — real leads that are currently going uncalled
- Build and close your own pipeline: property management firms, multi-location retail and franchise groups, school boards, municipalities, warehouses, and industrial facilities
- Run the numbers-driven pitch: energy savings, utility rebates, and payback period. Our proposals sell themselves when they get in front of the right person — your job is getting them there and getting the signature
- Pursue long-cycle national accounts (big-box retail, major chains) as background projects alongside your monthly pipeline
- Report directly to ownership. No layers, no committee. Fast decisions, fast quotes, fast closes
What we're looking for
- 3–7 years of B2B sales closing experience selling to facilities managers, property managers, building owners, or business operators
- Background in energy efficiency, HVAC, solar, roofing, commercial services, or similar — you've sold something with a payback-period pitch before
- A track record you can state plainly: your quota, your attainment, your average deal size
- Comfortable hunting: you can build a target list, get decision-makers on the phone, and run in-person walkthroughs
- Valid driver's licence and vehicle (travel across the GTA and Southern Ontario)
- Bonus, not required: existing relationships with property managers, facilities directors, or franchise operators; experience with utility rebate programs
How you get paid
- Base: $55K–$60K depending on experience
- Commission: paid on gross profit, not revenue — uncapped
- Large-deal kicker: enhanced commission rate on any single contract above threshold
- Realistic year one: $130K–$180K. Top performer at our margins: well beyond that. We will show you the math in the interview
Why this role is different
Most sales jobs hand you a phone book and a prayer. Here, the machine already works — the product is proven, margins are strong, leads exist, and the rebate math makes the pitch genuinely easy to believe in. What's missing is the person who converts. For the right person, the ceiling here is not "senior rep" — it's running a sales org as we scale into new markets.
How to apply
Send your resume plus a short note answering three questions:
- What was your quota in your last closing role, and what did you attain?
- What's the largest deal you've personally closed, start to finish?
- Walk us through, in 3–4 sentences, how you'd approach a property management company with 30 buildings.
Applications without the three answers won't be reviewed
