Full job description

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of the kitchen, ensuring quality, consistency, efficiency and a positive team culture. This role leads the kitchen team, maintains food and safety standards, manages inventory and food costs and ensures every product leaving the kitchen reflects Seagulls commitment to exceptional quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily kitchen operations and workflow
Lead, coach, schedule, and delegate to the kitchen team
Ensure all recipes, portions and presentation standards are consistently followed
Maintain high standard of cleanliness, organization and food safety
Monitor inventory levels, complete regular inventory counts and place supplier orders
Manage food costs, pricing, and waste to meet profitable goals
Ensure all opening, closing, prep and cleaning are completed daily
Develop and maintain efficient kitchen systems and standard operating procedures
Train, mentor and hold kitchen staff accountable for performance and expectations
Work alongside the team during service while maintain productivity and quality

Qualifications

Previous kitchen leadership or management experience
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to lead, motivate and hold team accountable
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Experience in inventory management, ordering, and food cost controls
Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Passion for quality food, hospitality, and continuously improvements

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
