We are now seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Thursday - 6:00 am - 4:30 pm (4 - ten hour shifts)
Responsibilities of the Job:
Including, but not limited to the following:
- Set up and weld parts using MIG welding (GMAW) processes to match blueprints
- Operate and maintain the welder in excellent condition
- Use hand tools such as grinders, flame cutting equipment, air and power tools
- Keep work area clean
- Keep up with production demands while working safely
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- MIG welding experience is an asset
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment an asset
- Can read and follow blueprints
- Ability to set temperature and wire speed
- Ability to handle varied welding tasks, as well as repetitive processes
- Work well independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail
- Troubleshooting skills
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing (English)
- Reliable transportation to and from work daily, while ensuring to be punctual
- Welding Helmet and Steel-toed safety boots are required
- Ability to work within a welding / manufacturing environment for 10 hours a day
- Willingness to work Overtime if available
