Full job description

Job Overview
Big Cheese Pizza in Flesherton is looking to fill several positions, including part time and full time positions. Availability should include both 11am-4:00pm and 4:00pm-8:00pm, as well as weekends.. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly by preparing ingredients, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the cooking staff in delivering high-quality meals. Duties include running the front cash, serving customers, preparing pizza toppings, cheese, dough and salad from scratch as well as making/baking pizzas. Dishes and other duties as needed. Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and assist with meal preparation according to established recipes and standards
Cook and assemble food items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation
Handle food safely, adhering to proper hygiene and sanitation protocols
Serve customers at the store front, taking orders accurately and providing friendly service
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, prep areas, and front counter throughout shifts
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy hours
Follow all food safety guidelines and health regulations to ensure a safe dining environment
Assist with inventory management and storage of ingredients and supplies

Experience

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required
Familiarity with food handling, meal preparation, and cooking techniques is advantageous
Experience in customer service or serving roles will be beneficial for interacting with guests effectively
Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is a plus
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with excellent communication skills

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about the food industry who are eager to learn and grow their culinary skills while providing exceptional service to customers.

Pay: $17.20-$22.00 per hour
