Location: Lunenburg, Nova Scotia In-Person

We are committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to children, youth, and families. Our team includes professionals from multiple disciplines working collaboratively in a supportive, client-centered environment that values clinical excellence, autonomy, and work-life balance.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Child & Adolescent Therapist to join our team. This role involves working with children and youth (ages 6–18) presenting with a range of mental health needs. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting young people and families, and thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications & Requirements

Must be in good standing with one of the following regulatory bodies:
Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP)
Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT)
Nova Scotia College of Social Workers (NSCSW)
Social workers must hold a Clinical Specialist designation
(Social Work Candidates are ineligible to work in private practice)
Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents (ages 6–18)
Strong assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention skills
Experience working with a range of mental health concerns (e.g., anxiety, mood disorders, behavioural challenges, trauma, ADHD)
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Commitment to ethical, evidence-based, and culturally responsive practiceKey Responsibilities
Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Collaborate with families, schools, and other professionals as appropriate
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Participate in team collaboration and case consultation
