Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Afterschool Program Leader (BAP) to oversee and facilitate engaging activities for children in our community. The ideal candidate will create a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for students, fostering their academic and social development. This role involves working directly with children after school hours, implementing activities, and supporting their overall well-being.

Duties

Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to support children's learning needs.
Lead engaging group activities that promote social skills, teamwork, and personal growth.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages children’s participation and confidence.
Monitor children's behavior to ensure safety and adherence to program guidelines.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and staff to support each child's individual development plan.
Maintain a clean and organized activity space, ensuring all materials are prepared and accessible.
Document attendance, progress, and any concerns related to children's well-being.

Qualifications

Reliability and commitment to scheduled shifts
Experience working with children in a childcare setting.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles is preferred.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young learners.
Ability to develop engaging lesson plans and adapt activities to meet diverse needs.
Prior experience in leading group activities or afterschool programs is a plus.
Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to creating a positive impact on children's lives.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
