Are you certified to instruct safety related courses? Are you looking for flexible work options, supplemental income, and the opportunity to travel? Look no further…

Irwin’s Safety Training provides a broad range of safety training courses across Nova Scotia to a variety of customers, both in industry and within communities. Irwin’s instructors have flexible schedule and the opportunities to travel to a variety of locations.

Irwin’s Safety is currently looking for qualified First Aid instructors to join our team.

Qualifications   

Must possess a VALID certificate to instruct any of the following courses:

Standard First Aid, Advanced First Aid, CPR
Mental Health First Aid (must be certified by the Mental Health Commission of Canada)
Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience instructing
Must be physically able to perform practical exercises and set up the necessary equipment
Experience in an industrial environment is preferred
Experience instructing in Indigenous Communities is preferred
  Responsibilities
Prepare required material / lesson plan prior to course delivery
Using a variety of adult learning techniques, deliver course material and exam
Mentor students as needed
Adhere to all Irwin’s Training Management System
Complete and return course paperwork in a timely manner
Replenish first aid training kits from inventory upon completion of training

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $400.00 per day
