KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

External Communications
- Support the design, production and distribution of promotional materials for Six Nations of the Grand Rivers’ various departments.
- Abide by and promote the Communication Request Procedure
- Implement and promote the use of the appropriate forms (Graphic Design Request Form and Communication Distribution Request Form) when completing requests.
- Provide graphic design, illustration and photography supports for key events of Six Nations of the Grand River Elected Council and its various departments.
- Provide Graphic Design/Illustration rationales to support completed work.
- Provide direction/support to the Six Nations of the Grand River departments regarding print and web projects (website, SNGR app, social media, etc.)
- Provide/support Quality Control efforts for various Six Nations of the Grand River departments.
- Act as a liaison for design/illustration requests with other departments.
- Promote and protect the reputation of Six Nations Elected Council and the community.
- Develop and create graphic/illustrated learning resource materials for the community and Six Nations of the Grand Rivers’ various departments.
- Create culturally enriched materials that provide exposure to Native Language and contribute to a larger resource library for community members and Six Nations of the Grand River departments.

Oversee the completion of design projects, from conception to delivery, including reviewing work completed by the Junior Graphic Designer/Illustrator.
Provide direction/support and supervision to the Junior Graphic Designer/Illustrator and the Communications team regarding print and web projects (website, SNGR app, social media, etc.)
Provide/support Quality Control efforts for the Communications Team.
Provide Graphic Design/Illustration rationales to support completed work.
Assist the Communications Team in content creation for the Six Nations of the Grand River Brand Book.
Assist the Communications Team in content creation for the Six Nations of the Grand River distribution channels (website, social media, SNGR App, etc.)
Provide support to the Communications Team with regards to graphic design/illustration requests and departmental initiatives.
Assist in the creation of content that draws awareness to various Six Nations of the Grand River events, programs, initiatives, campaigns, etc.
Negotiate appropriate deadlines with the Director of Communications.

Brand Management
- Implement the established Six Nations of the Grand River brand standards to promote the organization’s brand identity.
- Contribute to updating the Six Nations of the Grand River Brand Book.
- Propose, develop, and promote Graphic Design standards for Six Nations of the Grand River and its various departments.
- Increase the company image and brand recognition for Six Nations of the Grand River.
- Ensure the Communications Team promotes the Six Nations of the Grand River brand.
- Ensure various Departments are promoting the Six Nations of the Grand River brand.
- Review incoming Graphic Design/Illustration works from various departments, providing professional guidance, feedback, and instructions when necessary.

Support the design and development of materials to be entered onto the Six Nations of the Grand River website.
Assist in the creation of content to be added to the Six Nations of the Grand River website or social media accounts.
Assist in the development of Six Nations of the Grand River social media campaigns.

Work on project-basis (ie. Leisure Guide, Political Updates newsletter, campaigns, large projects, etc.)
Contribute to updating Graphic Design/Illustration processes and procedures.
Develop and create learning resource materials.
Assist with special projects as requested.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Communications.
