Senior Financial Analyst

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, including supporting schedules, disclosures, and related reporting deliverables.
Prepare and review monthly internal reporting and analysis to provide timely, reliable information for decision-making.
Support the annual external audit process by preparing schedules, coordinating documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
Collaborate with business units and cross-functional teams to gather financial information, support reporting requirements, and meet shared deadlines.
Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes, strengthen efficiency, and support continuous improvement within the finance function.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with confidence working with accounting systems and financial information.
A detail-oriented approach and a commitment to accurate, high-quality work.
Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information to people with different levels of financial knowledge.
The ability to organize work, manage priorities, and adapt to changing timelines.
A collaborative mindset and a practical, service-focused approach to achieving results.
What You’ll Need:
Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and at least five (5) years of progressively responsible financial reporting experience.
A university degree in business and a professional accounting designation, such as Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
Experience preparing IFRS-compliant financial statements or working in financial auditing is an asset.
Experience with accounting and financial software, such as JDEdwards, Clarity, Spreadsheet Server, or other financial reporting tools, is an asset.
Knowledge of regulated utilities, oil and gas, energy markets, or other capital-intensive industries is an asset.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
