About the role:
Trade Marketing is a key function that bridges Sales and Marketing, supporting critical initiatives between the two while driving creative, innovative strategies to strengthen our brands in market. The Trade Marketing Coordinator plays a highly organized, communication-focused role, working closely with Sales, Marketing, and other key stakeholders. This position reports to the Trade Marketing Manager.
Purpose of the role:
To assist and support the Trade Marketing Manager, Brand Managers and Sales Team in the development, execution and coordination of leading retail and on-premise programs to deliver the target financial and strategic objectives for the organization.
Functions of the role:
Coordinates key customer systems and platforms (e.g. the LCBO), such as programming applications and pricing adjustments
Manages all deadlines for liquor board marketing submissions and listing tender applications, including preparing planned applications, monitoring status, keeping record of outcomes and communicating outcomes to stakeholders within the organization
Updates provincial promotional planning grids/marketing calendars based on planned, approved, rescheduled and declined brand activities
Supports the production and implementation of marketing materials: POS, brand collateral, and external print/production and Creative (BTL) agencies as required
Assists teams within the organization in preparing and shipping samples, media packages, etc.
Works with suppliers in ordering, coordinating delivery, and preparing appropriate customs and importation forms
Participates in the planning, development and execution of trade marketing events, and sales and customer facing events when needed
Pulls sales and marketing related data from various sources to create reporting and assist in story-telling for presentations and sales materials
Pricing submissions, tracking and analysis
Requirements:
The successful applicant:
Demonstrates a high level of organizational skills
Possesses strong Excel skills and proficiency with numbers
Uses AI tools to support data analysis and improve workflow efficiency
Demonstrates the ability to extrapolate trends from data
Maintains an organized digital workspace
Exhibits strong communication skills
Has intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
Has 3+ years of experience in beverage alcohol (preferred) or CPG
Knowledge of LCBO systems (MPTS, NISS) is a strong asset.
