Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative PTA and/or Kinesiologist to join our growing clinical team. Key Responsibilities:
The typical responsibilities of the PTA/Kinesiologist include but are not limited to:
- Working closely with the lead physiotherapist and kinesiologist to execute patient and performance programs.
- Guiding patients through rehabilitation programs, exercises and modalities.
- Working with athletes through return to sport and performance programs with a focus on cognition, brain speed, agility, and strength.
- Applying modalities to patients such as red-light therapy, Neubie (tens stimulation), PEMF and other modalities.
- Under physiotherapists supervision, carrying out manual treatment for patients.
- Completing and staying up-to-date with patient charts and necessary documentation.
- Monitoring and guiding patients during aquatherapy sessions under the direction of the physiotherapist.
- Assist with other various office tasks and support other departments as needed.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness of the work environment.
- Regularly follow clinic policies, processes, procedures and workflows.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or Diploma of OTA/PTA or related field.
- Experience working with a diverse range of patients as well as various types of injuries and conditions.
- Previous experience working in a clinical or rehabilitation setting.
- Experience working with athletes or in a sports related field is an asset.
- Self-motivated and willingness to learn working both independently and in a team environment.
- Reliable and well organized with sound judgement and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and communication with patients and other team members.
