Full job description

Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Special Event Security Guard and become the frontline protector of high-profile events, concerts, festivals, and large gatherings. In this energized role, you will ensure the safety and security of attendees, staff, and property by proactively monitoring event premises, managing access points, and responding swiftly to incidents. Your vigilance and professionalism will help create a secure environment where guests can enjoy memorable experiences with peace of mind. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your security expertise in a fast-paced, lively setting while making a positive impact on event success.

Duties

Control access points by verifying tickets, IDs, and credentials for attendees, staff, vendors, and contractors to prevent unauthorized entry
Monitor event areas using CCTV surveillance systems to identify suspicious activity or potential hazards in real-time
Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by implementing conflict management techniques and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary
Maintain vigilant surveillance throughout the event using CCTV and on-foot patrols to ensure safety standards are upheld
Assist with loss prevention by observing for theft or vandalism and taking appropriate action according to protocols
Complete detailed incident reports and shift logs to document any security-related occurrences or concerns during your shift
Additional miscellaneous tasks as needed

Skills

Strong knowledge of security procedures, conflict management, and crowd control techniques
Experience with surveillance systems such as CCTV for monitoring large venues or events
First aid certification and CPR training to provide immediate assistance in medical emergencies
Smart Serve certification and proven work experience with venues serving alcohol preferred
Background in law enforcement, military service, or security roles that demonstrate discipline and situational awareness preferred
Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple tasks efficiently
Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with guests, staff, law enforcement, and emergency personnel
Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and CCTV operation enhances your effectiveness in safeguarding event assets
