Job Responsibilities
· Conduct comprehensive developmental assessments using specialised tools (such as VB-MAPP and ABLLS-R) to identify social, cognitive, and emotional barriers and establish targeted goals for functional independence.
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists, including Clinical Supervisors (BCBAs), Senior Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), to develop and refine comprehensive behavioural programs tailored to clients' specific special needs.
· Deliver the developed individualised intervention plans utilising Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principles to address developmental gaps, promoting the re-adaptation of neurodivergent clients into mainstream environments.
· Teach functional communication to non-verbal and speech-delayed clients through the implementation of the individualised Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems, including PECS and the Proloquo2Go app.
· Train the individual using prepared, specialised teaching materials, such as visual schedules, social stories, and custom communication boards, to assist in developing essential life skills and navigating daily routines.
· Execute tailored vocational training and task analysis for adolescent clients, breaking down complex workplace responsibilities into manageable steps to foster community-based employment and "soft skills."
· Conduct community-based training to facilitate the generalisation of social, communication and functional life skills, empowering clients to perform daily public tasks and navigate public spaces independently in real-world settings.
· Carry out individualised behavioural programs and track skill acquisition by systematically recording and graphing clinical data in real time to evaluate intervention effectiveness and revise strategies as needed.
· Instruct individuals, families, and community partners on the consistent application of rehabilitative techniques and ABA strategies to maximise the client’s independence and long-term potential.
