We are currently looking for a Commercial Services Analyst to join our Commercial Services team in a permanent position. Reporting to the Commercial Services Manager, you will be responsible for providing data management and analytical support to Emera Energy’s Commercial Team. This role will speak to a detail-oriented professional who places a high value on data integrity, has a knack for process improvement and enjoys working on multiple tasks concurrently.
As a Commercial Services Analyst you will:

Enter, maintain, and manage natural gas transportation and pipeline tariff data in EE’s Enterprise Risk Management System (ETRM) and Microsoft BI Platform.

Forecast, reconcile and troubleshoot monthly pipeline transportation invoices for payment and financial modelling.

Review and interpret Asset Management Agreements (AMAs) with EE Legal and Origination Teams; configure transaction in ETRM based on key terms; monitor for billing discrepancies and changes to cost structure.

Provide customer service and support to Natural Gas Trading & Scheduling, Origination and Analytics teams through the creation and distribution of daily balancing reports, monthly and seasonal structured Trade and Transportation materials and variable/fixed cost change alerts.
- Collaborate within the business to design, document and implement process improvement initiatives which drive efficiencies for EE and its team members.
- Ensure internal controls over data recording for which you are responsible to support, perform, or review are executed in accordance with the Company's SOX program.

Act as liaison between EE and Emera Inc Risk Management Team to provide transaction and tariff information for financial and risk management reporting.

A College or University degree in a related field (Business, IT, Math, Statistics) is required

1-3 years of professional experience in an analytical business role

Proficiency with MS Office (Excel in particular) is a must as well as demonstrated curiosity and adaptability in using AI-assisted technologies, including Copilot-style tools

Experience with data governance programs and an appreciation of the importance of data integrity within key business systems is preferred

Candidate should have strong analytical and communication skills, demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional customer service, value good process and have a keen focus for detail

This role is best for those who enjoy working in a team setting and collaborating with a variety of business units

Microsoft BI and SQL experience is considered an asset but not a requirement
