About the Role

As a Veterinary Assistant at Petworks, you’ll:

Support veterinarians and RVTs during exams, treatments, and procedures
Comfort, handle, and restrain patients safely and gently
Prepare and clean exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites
Monitor and care for hospitalized patients under the supervision of an RVT or veterinarian
Assist with diagnostic testing, sample collection, and basic lab work
Communicate with and support clients, ensuring a positive experience for pets and their people
Maintain accurate medical records and keep supplies organized
Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
Answer phones, respond to emails, and schedule appointments efficiently
Process payments, maintain accurate client and patient records, and manage daily transactions
Provide compassionate client support during difficult or emotional situations
Help keep the reception area tidy, organized, and welcoming

What We’re Looking For

1–2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant (preferred)
Knowledge of animal handling, restraint, and basic clinical procedures
Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills
A positive attitude, adaptability, and passion for patient care
