About the Opportunity
- Design, build, and maintain custom business applications and enterprise integrations that support operations across the organization
- Lead the technical design and development of scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions
- Serve as the technical escalation point for complex production issues spanning multiple applications, integrations, and vendors
- Modernize legacy applications while ensuring stability and reliability for operational teams
- Establish and champion development standards, code quality, testing practices, documentation, and secure software development
- Mentor and support software developers through technical leadership, code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with operational leaders and business stakeholders to translate workflow needs into practical technical solutions
- Contribute to architecture decisions, technical roadmaps, and build-versus-buy evaluations for enterprise applications and integrations
About You
In addition to placing high value on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, you bring:
- 10+ years of professional software development experience, including several years operating at a senior technical level
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong experience developing enterprise applications using modern server-side technologies such as C#/.NET, Java, Node.js, PHP, or Python
- Proven experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and enterprise system integrations
- Strong SQL and relational database design skills, including query optimization and data modeling
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or another cloud platform
- Knowledge of secure software development practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Git-based development workflows
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Asset Qualifications:
- Experience supporting healthcare, seniors' living, or other 24/7 operational environments
- Experience integrating hospitality, workforce management, or clinical applications
- Experience with e-commerce or online payment technologies
