Our client, a well-established and growing organization in the Cambridge area, is seeking a Payroll & Human Resources Administrator to join their team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys balancing payroll responsibilities with human resources support in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Position Summary
The Payroll & Human Resources Administrator will be responsible for managing full-cycle payroll for approximately 100 employees across Canada and the United States while supporting a variety of HR functions. The successful candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to build effective working relationships across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 60 Canadian and 40 U.S. employees using ADP Workforce Now (WFN).
Review, audit, and reconcile employee hours by comparing time entries with GPS tracking records.
Investigate payroll discrepancies and follow up with employees and managers to ensure payroll accuracy.
Process employee changes, payroll adjustments, deductions, benefits, and terminations.
Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable payroll legislation.
Prepare payroll reports and assist with year-end payroll activities.
Human Resources Support
Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries.
Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
Assist with employee relations matters and escalate concerns as appropriate.
Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
Maintain employee files and ensure HR records remain accurate and up to date.
Support various HR initiatives and projects as required.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll and/or human resources administration.
Hands-on experience processing full-cycle payroll using ADP Workforce Now (WFN).
Experience with both Canadian and U.S. payroll is considered a strong asset.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and follow-up abilities.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Proficiency with payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with Jobber or similar workforce management systems is considered an asset.
