This is NOT a summer job.
We are looking for a team member who is available to work with us beyond September and can commit to a long-term part-time position.
Our operating hours require staff to be available for shifts that may start as early as 6:00am and end as late as 7:00pm. Schedules change from week to week, so applicants must have the flexibility to work throughout this range of hours.
If you are returning to school in the fall, looking for temporary summer employment, or are only available during limited hours, please do not apply.

Company Overview
Clever Canines has been transforming lives since 2005 by empowering dog owners through comprehensive training and behaviour programs. Our mission is to support dogs and their owners at every stage of life through a deep understanding of canine behaviour.
Summary
We are seeking a Dog Daycare Attendant to join our passionate Dayschool team. This role is vital in supporting the well-being of the dogs in our care and contributing to a positive, structured environment for dogs of all breeds, ages, and behaviours.
This is a true part-time role, ideal for someone who genuinely wants part-time work because it fits well with their lifestyle. Hours vary week to week, with shifts that change in length and start time. This position supports the team by filling schedule gaps, covering time off, and stepping in when extra hands are needed. It plays an important behind-the-scenes role in keeping our Dayschool running smoothly and consistently.
What Working in Dayschool Is Really Like
Working with dogs is rewarding — but it is also hands-on, physical, and demanding. Our team is constantly cleaning up after dogs, maintaining indoor and outdoor spaces, sanitizing equipment and toys, and keeping the facility tidy and smell-free.
The environment can be loud, hectic, and sometimes overwhelming, so patience, emotional regulation, and a core value of kindness are essential — both for the dogs and for your teammates. You will be on your feet for your entire shift, moving with purpose, responding quickly when needed, and helping maintain a calm, structured environment even during busy moments.
Who Thrives at Clever Canines
We are a tight-knit, supportive team, and how we show up for one another matters. The people who thrive here genuinely want to work with dogs and understand that structure, consistency, and cleanliness are what allow dogs — and people — to succeed.
Successful team members are friendly, grounded, and positive. They take initiative, notice what needs doing, and help others without being asked. They are comfortable communicating openly, bringing ideas forward, speaking up about challenges, and addressing concerns with the appropriate people in a respectful and constructive way.
This role is best suited for someone who values teamwork, takes pride in their work, and appreciates clear expectations and high standards. If you enjoy contributing to a well-run environment and being part of a team that supports one another, you will likely feel very at home at Clever Canines.
