Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Ready Mix Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate commercial vehicles, primarily concrete mixer trucks, to deliver high-quality concrete to various construction sites. Your expertise in handling heavy equipment and understanding of construction processes will ensure timely deliveries and safe operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment where your skills directly contribute to building projects and infrastructure development.

Responsibilities

Safely operate concrete mixer trucks required for delivery and site support
Load, transport, and unload concrete and related materials accurately at designated construction sites
Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, including delivery tickets and logs, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before each shift
Assist with on-site tasks such as concrete pumping, rebar installation, or concrete finishing as needed to support construction activities
Communicate effectively with site managers and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical issues promptly
Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others

Skills

Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as ready mix trucks, loaders, or concrete pumps on construction sites
Knowledge of commercial vehicle operation, including concrete mixer trucks
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot issues
Familiarity with construction processes like paving, concrete forming, rebar installation, and finishing techniques
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and site personnel
