Responsibilities
Working alongside our experienced crews, you will assist with a variety of landscape construction projects, including:
- Interlock patios, walkways, and driveways
- Retaining walls and armour stone installation
- Concrete preparation and finishing
- Excavation, grading, and site preparation
- Drainage and underground services
- Tree, shrub, and sod installation
- Pool landscapes and outdoor living spaces
- Loading, unloading, and transporting materials, equipment, and machinery
- Daily equipment inspections and maintenance
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe job site
Equipment Operators
Experience operating the following is considered an asset:
- Excavators
- Skid Steers
- Track Loaders
- Wheel Loaders
- Plate Compactors
- Other landscape construction equipment
Drivers
We are also seeking dependable drivers to transport equipment, materials, and trailers between our yard and job sites.
Successful applicants should have:
- A valid G, DZ, or AZ Driver's Licence
- A clean driving record (driver's abstract may be requested)
- Experience operating pickup trucks, dump trucks, hooklift trucks, and towing equipment is an asset
- Experience towing dump trailers, float trailers, and equipment trailers
- Safe loading, securing, and transporting of machinery and materials
- Strong awareness of vehicle inspections and daily maintenance
Qualifications
- Previous landscape construction or construction experience preferred
- Experience operating heavy equipment is an asset
- Valid G Licence required (DZ or AZ Licence is a strong asset)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
- Reliable transportation to and from our yard
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
