We’re looking for a Data Analyst who combines strong technical expertise with analytical thinking, business awareness, and clear communication skills. Reporting to the Manager of Information Technology, you’ll help strengthen how we collect, interpret, and use data across the organization.
The Opportunity
As a Data Analyst, you’ll work closely with our department, leadership, partners, and IT teams to understand reporting needs, solve complex data challenges, and turn technical findings into clear, practical insights that support sound business decisions and operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities
· Data Collection & Cleaning: manage the end-to-end flow of data, including extraction, integration, validation, storage, retrieval, and troubleshooting the reporting database environment.
· Data Analysis: apply statistical and analytical methods to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and actionable insights. Support the design and implementation of systems used to generate and capture internal and external data.
· Reporting and Visualization: develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel to present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders. Automate recurring reports and tasks to improve efficiency and increase productivity.
· Collaboration: work with leadership and cross-functional teams to define KPIs, clarify reporting needs and address business problems. Using Power BI, make data available to the business for analysis and decision-making.
What You Bring to the Role
We’re looking for someone who combines advanced technical ability with a strong analytical mindset. You can work confidently with large and complex datasets, recognize relationships within the data, and develop accurate reporting solutions that respond to real business needs. You’re also able to explain your findings clearly and help stakeholders understand what the data means and how it can be used.
Qualifications
Technical Proficiencies:
· Degree in business, analytics, finance, information systems or computer science.
· Strong working knowledge of programming languages like SQL, or Python. Extensive experience with spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
· Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft’s Power BI.
·Adept at developing queries, dashboards, automated reports, and data visualizations.
· Experience with Google BigQuery is an asset.
Analytical Mindset:
· Proficiency in statistics, data modeling, and data mining techniques.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Communication Skills:
· Comfortable in presenting findings to senior management.
· Able translate data into meaningful information to manage expectations with business leaders.
· Insurance industry knowledge is an asset and French language proficiency is considered a bonus.
