INTERTRAIN INC - TEACHING CHILDREN THE VALUE OF SCHOOL BUS SAFETY

AREA COORDINATOR - TEMPORARY FULL-TIME

Intertrain Incorporated is the premier provider of all in-school, School Bus Safety programs for Elementary Schools across Ontario. Since 2003 we have been providing our programs to school boards across Ontario. We work hard to develop top-notch programs and provide schools with a hassle-free, fun experience.

We are seeking a very motivated, outgoing, punctual and responsible person to represent our company in a professional manner and to support Educators that provide School Bus Safety presentations for children JK to grade 8 in the Elementary schools.

The Area Coordinator is responsible for training and coordination of Educator staff (approximately 6 – 8 people)

Area Coordinator duties:

Training of Educators. Be present for Educators’ first 2 days of presentations for support.
Audit Educators to ensure programs are performed correctly by attending sessions and submit evaluations.
Be available 24/7 for Educators, in case of an emergency and need to fill in.
Primary hours of contact activity are between 6:30am – 8:30am and 12:00pm – 2:00pm. Early mornings can be busy to check for school cancellations or receiving calls/texts from Educators or Operations Coordinators. Early afternoons can be busy to receive calls/texts from Educators regarding their afternoon (PM) school issues.
Replace (Fill-in) for Educators when they are absent. * Can be last minute same day coverage. Will need to drive to the Educator’s home to pick up their equipment and fill in at the school(s).
Provide vacancy coverage due to absence or Educator termination. * Can be up to 1-2 weeks.
Provide daily/weekly reports to Operations Coordinators.
Liaise with Educators as their 1st point of contact.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to provide constructive criticism and enforce the company’s Policies and Procedures.
Excellent customer service, communication skills.
Troubleshoot and operate audio/video equipment problems.
All other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

Supervisory experience.
Training experience.
Ability to perform our School Bus Safety presentations in front of a live audience as needed.
MUST be able to read and speak English fluently.
Experience working with children and large groups.
Highly motivated.
Valid Driver's License (minimum G2).
Own reliable vehicle - large enough to fit our equipment. A full set of equipment can fit into a Toyota Corolla but in most cases, the ACO will need to carry only half the equipment when filling in for an Educator.
Provide a clean criminal check (Police Vulnerable Sector Report (VSR)).
Good physical health, ability to lift up to 60+ lbs and transport heavy equipment up and down stairs.

Typical day is between 6:30 am and 3:30 pm. Monday to Friday

Job Type: Full time Temporary Contract - Seasonal

Contract length: 5 months (approximately)

Pay: $181.50 per day

Benefits:

Automobile allowance ($0.25 cents/km)
Paid for Training days
