Adecco is currently hiring a
Material Handler - Kitting for a full-time temporary opportunity with potential for permanent employment in Kanata, ON. This role is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented individual with strong computer skills who is comfortable working in a warehouse environment and following established inventory and material handling procedures.
In this position, you will support warehouse operations by performing kitting, picking and packing, inventory transactions, cycle counts, material replenishment, and other material handling activities. You will also help ensure materials are available to support manufacturing and customer orders while maintaining an organized and safe warehouse environment.

Responsibilities
-
Perform a variety of kitting and order fulfillment functions according to established procedures.

Assist with interplant transfers.

Perform Door Service (PLR) activities using the company inventory system.

Transfer excess materials between customers as required.

Perform cycle count activities and support inventory accuracy.
-
Pick and pack products for customer shipments.
-
Put stock away in designated warehouse locations.

Replenish raw materials using established replenishment methods.
-
Expedite shortages or potential shortages to ensure manufacturing and customer orders can be completed in a timely manner.

Enter inventory transactions, verify their accuracy, and correct errors when identified.

Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and recommend process changes to help prevent future discrepancies.

Complete the setup of new cells or assemblies for backflushing.

Safely operate material handling and processing equipment.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse workspace.

Maintain and update policies and procedures and assist with training others as required.

Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement.

Follow company safety policies and requirements under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Assist with other warehouse and material handling activities as required.
Requirements
-
Must be eligible to work and reside in Canada.
-
0 to 1 year of experience in a warehouse or electronics-related environment.

Some high school education is generally required.

Excellent organizational skills.
-
Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.

Excellent computer and PC skills.
-
Basic math skills.
-
Ability to communicate effectively and follow established processes in English.

Ability to work effectively and independently while escalating unusual issues to the Team Lead when required.

Ability to accurately follow established warehouse and inventory procedures.

Ability to safely operate applicable material handling and processing equipment.

Strong commitment to workplace safety and maintaining an organized work environment.
