Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swim Instructor to join our aquatic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching swimming skills to individuals of all ages and skill levels in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to promote water safety, develop teaching skills, and inspire confidence in our students.

Duties

Conduct swimming lessons for children, teens, and adults, tailoring instruction to individual skill levels and learning styles
Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and safety procedures
Monitor students during lessons to ensure safety and provide immediate assistance if needed
Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere to motivate learners of all ages
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area before and after lessons
Enforce pool rules and safety guidelines at all times
Communicate progress and provide feedback to students and their guardians when appropriate
Assist with scheduling classes and managing lesson plans as needed

Experience

Prior experience teaching swimming or related water safety instruction is required
Strong swimming skills with the ability to demonstrate techniques confidently
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, patient demeanor
Ability to work with diverse age groups and skill levels
Knowledge of water safety standards and emergency procedures is a plus
